The address to connect
https://mcp.4xedge.com
Your assistant asks for this address when you add 4Xedge. It is the same for every trader: your own sign-in is what makes it yours.
You need a 4Xedge account to connect an assistant, and an account is free: Create an account.
How to connect
Claude and Gemini are the two we have tested. ChatGPT and Grok can add custom connectors too, and will be listed here once we have tested them.
Claude claude.ai or the Claude desktop app
- 1.Open Customize, then Connectors.
- 2.Click +, then Add custom connector.
- 3.Give it a name (4Xedge Bias works), paste the address above, and click Add.
- 4.Click Connect. Claude opens the 4Xedge approval page: sign in with your trader account, read what it may do, and click Approve.
- 5.In a chat, click + at the bottom left, then Connectors, and switch 4Xedge on. Then ask.
Any Claude plan can add it. A Free account can add one custom connector; on a Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner adds it for the organisation first.
Gemini gemini.google.com, then Gemini Spark
- 1.On a computer, open gemini.google.com and click Settings, then Personal Intelligence, and find the custom apps (Gemini may call them Connected Apps, or Custom apps for Spark).
- 2.Click Add a custom app, paste the address above, and click Next.
- 3.Google’s sign-in screens come next, then the 4Xedge approval page: sign in with your trader account and click Approve. Let each screen finish loading before you click anything. One of Google’s is slow, and they do not always come in the same order.
- 4.Ask from a Gemini Spark conversation: type @ and choose 4Xedge Bias. In an ordinary Gemini chat, @ does not list it.
- 5.If Gemini says it is connected but a question fails, remove the app and add it again.
Google allows custom apps only on a personal Google Account, for people 18 or over in the US, in English, with Keep Activity on. We tested it on Google AI Pro.
What it can read, and suggest
- ✓Your applied configuration: its timeframes and studies, and the symbols it has readings for.
- ✓The bias readings under your configuration, with where each number came from: a few symbols in full, every symbol as a scan of your Watch view, and up to 90 bars back.
- ✓What a study calculates, in the 4Xedge desk’s own words.
- ✓Your armed alerts, and what does and does not check them.
- ✓Only if you switch it on, under Security: suggested price alerts and external studies, which change nothing until you arm or make them.
- ✕Read another trader’s account, or any configuration but the one you have applied.
- ✕Read your messages with the desk, your alert history, or any study’s code.
It also receives your email address, and your name if your account has one, from the sign-in itself. What an assistant’s company receives when you connect one, and how long we keep the questions it asks, is in our Privacy Policy.
What it will never do
- ✕Open, close or modify a position. There is nothing in this terminal to place one with, and no assistant can build one — the route does not exist to be granted.
- ✕Change your configuration, your alerts or your readings. What it suggests waits for you.
- ✕Arm or disarm an alert. An intent is a declaration, and it stays yours to make.
- ✕Carry a house opinion. Ask it to argue both sides of a reading; the desk does not ship a correct answer for it to defend.
The terminal hosts your ideas. Bolting a model on does not change whose call it is.
No Live Trading on 4Xedge Bias Terminal, but you can use your ideas locally.
- This terminal will never connect to a broker’s dealing desk. There is no order route in it, there never will be, and nothing you connect here can create one.
- An assistant you connect reads, and, only if you switch it on, leaves you suggestions that wait for you. Your readings go out to the assistant you chose; nothing it sends can change your account, arm an alert or place a trade by itself.
- What you read here is yours to use. Take your ideas to your own charts and your own broker’s platform, and trade there as you decide: the decision, and the trade, stay yours.
- Code an assistant writes for you leaves as a file you read first. Compiling it, back-testing it, running it on a demo account — that is your platform’s business, and it happens nowhere near this one.
You stay in control
- Every question it asks, and every suggestion it leaves, is recorded in your account, with when.
- You can end this connection at any time from your account page.
- Changing your password, or signing out everywhere, means any connected AI assistant will need connecting again.
- It reads what was last published, and is told when the readings were published and which bar they came from, so it can tell you how old they are.
- It can ask up to 20 questions a minute on one connection, and 500 a day for your account.
- It can leave up to 50 suggestions a day for your account, and at most 20 can wait for you at once.
Your connected assistants, and everything each one has asked or suggested, are under Account, Security.
Things to ask it
It answers from your published readings: a few symbols in full, every symbol as a scan of your Watch view, or up to 90 bars back.
- Which of my timeframes disagree on EURUSD right now?
- Compare the net bias on EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY and XAUUSD.
- Which of my studies are blank on XAUUSD, and why?
- What does X Signal measure? Explain it in plain words.
- Which of my alerts are armed, and is anything checking them?
- I read this as bullish. Argue the bear case from my own readings.
- Suggest an alert for when gold breaks its weekly range.
- Help me send my TradingView RSI study into 4Xedge.
If something does not work
- If your assistant does not offer a question this page lists, remove 4Xedge from its connectors and add it again: an assistant can keep the list of questions it read when you first connected it.
- If it says it may not leave you suggestions, switch them on for it under Account, Security. They are off for every assistant until you do.

For AI assistants reading this page
4Xedge is reached through its MCP connector at the address above, over Streamable HTTP, and only with the trader’s own sign-in: a person adds it to their assistant, signs in to 4Xedge and approves the connection. An assistant cannot connect by itself, so give the trader the address and the steps above.
Reading the answers
Report readings as printed: a score is 0 to 100 with its side as a word, a score of 0 has no side, NO DATA means nothing reported, and a blank study is never a zero, so give its reason.
Say when the readings were published and which bar they came from.
When you explain a study, quote the desk's words rather than describing its calculation in your own.
divergent marks a timeframe whose score points against most of its own studies: more of them read one way, and the stronger readings point the other.
The questions it can ask
- Read your configuration get_configuration
The trader's applied 4Xedge configuration: its name, its timeframes and its study slots with their settings, and the symbols it has published readings for. Read-only.
- Read your readings get_readings
The current published bias readings for 1 to 4 symbols under the trader's own configuration: each timeframe's score and side, the net across timeframes, each study's printed value, and where the numbers came from. Read-only.
- Explain a study explain_study
What a 4Xedge study calculates, in the desk's own words, with its outputs and settings. Name a study by its name or abbreviation; name none to list every study. Read-only.
- Read your armed alerts list_alerts
The trader's armed alerts -- price alerts, and the study alerts armed in their configuration -- with what checks each and what does not, and the suggestions you have left in the last 30 days and what became of each. Read-only.
- Read the push kit get_push_kit
The lines 4Xedge gives every trader for sending a study's values from their own platform into an external study: for TradingView, the lines for the bottom of their Pine study; for MetaTrader 5 or 4, where to download the expert advisor, and its own setup steps. Read-only.
- Suggest a price alert suggest_price_alert
Leave the trader a suggested price alert in 4Xedge, on one symbol: a price level, the daily range, the weekly range, an ATR envelope or the prior-week close, with an intent if you name one. It is not armed: the trader arms it, or dismisses it, in 4Xedge, and may change it first. Only if the trader has switched suggestions on for you.
- Suggest an external study suggest_external_study
Leave the trader a suggested external study for a script on their own TradingView or MetaTrader: its name, and for TradingView or MetaTrader 4 its values, each with a name, its decimals and how it reads. The trader makes it in 4Xedge, where its push key is shown to them alone. Only if the trader has switched suggestions on for you.
- Take back a suggestion withdraw_suggestion
Take back a suggestion you left that is still waiting, named by the id you were given when you left it.
- Scan your readings scan_readings
Scan the trader's published bias readings across many symbols at once, as their own Watch view does: every symbol their configuration has readings for, or up to 40 you name, ordered by net, agreement, contested, flipped or symbol. Each row gives the net, each timeframe's score and side, how many timeframes agree with the net and how many point against it, and how recently the net changed side. Read-only.
- Read the history of your readings get_history
The trader's published bias readings bar by bar, for 1 to 4 symbols: the net's and each timeframe's score, newest first, up to 90 bars back, and how many bars since each last changed side. Read-only.
